Disclosure Under Austrian Media Act​

The vacs.network website and its subdomains (including docs.vacs.network) are operated as a small website (kleine Website) within the meaning of Section 25(5) MedienG. They serve exclusively as the project page and documentation for the free, open-source vacs software project. No editorial or journalistic content in the sense of the Media Act is published, and no revenue is generated.

Under Section 25(5) MedienG, operators of small websites with no editorial content beyond self-presentation are required to disclose only:

  • Name or company name of the media owner
  • Place of residence or registered office of the media owner
  • Purpose of the website

Purpose​

The vacs.network website serves as the project page and hub for the vacs open-source project, including user-facing documentation, release information, downloads, and legal notices.

Nature of the Project​

vacs is a personal, non-commercial open-source project. There is no legal entity (company, association, or organization) behind it. The project is maintained by volunteer contributors and is provided free of charge under the MIT License and Apache License 2.0.

Dispute Resolution​

We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board pursuant to the Austrian Alternative Dispute Resolution Act (Alternative-Streitbeilegung-Gesetz, AStG).
